We see this happen often, and it’s exactly why we’ve always maintained a physical showroom at our Hendra warehouse that our customers visit often. Because packaging isn’t just a visual choice it’s a tactile one.

The Packaging Place has been operated as a family business from the beginning. We're not a distribution arm of a national chain. We're not a faceless warehouse running drop-ship orders. We're a team based in Brisbane at U3/370 Nudgee Road, Hendra, about eight kilometres from the CBD and we're genuinely invested in getting the right product into the hands of the right customer.

When someone comes through our doors with a specific brief a hamper business launching a new range, a café owner trying to find the right takeaway box, a small business preparing for the Christmas gifting season we can walk them around the showroom, put samples in their hands, and have an actual conversation about what's going to work.

That kind of service is harder to replicate online. 

The Showroom Is There for a Reason

Our showroom is open Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm. It's free to visit, parking is on-site, and you don't need an appointment though if you're making a special trip, calling ahead is always worth it so we can make sure the right person is available to help you.

We believe that if you're making a decision about custom packaging or buying in volume, you should see a sample first. Full stop. No amount of product photography replaces holding a box, checking the print quality, testing the fold, or comparing two options side by side.

This is especially true for custom work. We print and manufacture custom packaging locally here in Queensland mailer boxes, tuck top boxes, gift boxes, rigid boxes, magnetic collapsible boxes, flat bags, carry bags, labels, and branded ribbon. Before committing to a run, coming in to see our existing samples and talk through your artwork gives you the confidence that what you're signing off on is actually what you'll receive.

Local Manufacturing: Speed You Can Count On

One of the advantages of having manufacturing in Queensland is lead time. Locally Australia made products move faster than imported lines, and when something needs to change mid-run, we're not waiting on a container from overseas.

For local customers, click and collect is free. Order before 12pm and your order will be ready the same afternoon. It's simple because it should be.

The Reason We Do This

A lot of packaging suppliers treat the transaction as the relationship. Order placed, order fulfilled, done.

When a customer comes into the showroom and we help them find exactly the right box for their product launch, that's not a sale that's a conversation we want to keep having. When a wholesale customer calls because they need something urgent before an event, we want to be the people they know they can call.
